About the Role

As the Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance team by maintaining accurate financial records and delivering timely financial reports.

 

You will also be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality financial accounting support to the Finance Manager, ensuring accuracy and meeting timelines in all key deliverables.
  • Maintaining the integrity of the accounting system through accurate processing of financial data and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and record keeping.
  • Coordinating the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
  • Developing and producing management, statutory and ad-hoc financial reports, briefing papers, and submissions to support informed decision making.
  • Managing the fixed asset register, including capitalisation, disposals, revaluations and preparation of depreciation schedules.
  • Contributing to the annual budgeting process and supporting financial system upgrades and integrations.
  • Collaborating with teams across finance, payroll and broader business units to proactively address and resolve financial accounting matters.

 

Our Ideal Candidate

You’re an experienced Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment with experience in financial reporting and a strong foundation in accounting principles.  Consideration would also be given to supporting a .8FTE working arrangement for the right candidate.

 

You must hold:

  • A relevant qualification in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • Eligibility for membership of CA or CPA

 

You will also bring:

  • Strong IT literacy with high level of competency with Microsoft Excel and proficient across Microsoft Office 365 systems
  • Well-developed time management skills and the ability to easily manage diverse and competing priorities to deliver outcomes on time
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong verbal communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Previous experience managing reconciliations, financial accounting tasks and the preparation of management reports.
