HenderCare has an exciting opportunity for an innovative and passionate Clinical Nurse / Clinical Educator to join our dynamic team in the New Year. This is a new hybrid role where you will play a play a vital role in equipping our client-facing workforce with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in contemporary healthcare but also have clinical oversight over client complex care plans.

About the Role

Reporting to the Clinical Governance Manager, this role will be responsible for providing nursing services to clients in the community. This may include clinical assessment, development, implementation and review of participant complex and high-intensity care plans. This role you also supports safe service delivery by ensuring staff working with participants are trained, competent, credentialed, and compliant with clinical requirements. 

 

Other responsibilties will include:

  • Meeting participants to identify clinical needs, risks, goals and complex support requirements.
  • Completing holistic clinical assessments and develop person-centred complex and high-intensity care plans.
  • Ensuring care plans reflect NDIS high intensity support skills descriptors and aged care quality standards and clinical governance requirements.
  • Undertake billable clinical nursing tasks under participant service agreements such as complex bowel care, catheter care, medication management and clinical reporting
  • Deliver training, competency assessment and credentialing for staff supporting complex and high-intensity participants 

 

Our Ideal Candidate

You are an experienced and motivated Clinical Professional with strong clinical judgement who is passionate about delivering high-quality, complex care. You have a collaborative mindset, and the ability to confidently support the capability of staff working with participants who have complex and high-intensity needs. This ability to balance clinical excellence with education and training will allow you to thrive in this role.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven ability to complete holistic clinical assessments and develop, implement, and review person-centred complex care plans

  • Sound knowledge of NDIS standards, aged care quality standards and clinical governance. 

  • Experience delivering clinical training, competency assessments, and staff credentialing.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clinical documentation and reporting

  • A proactive, solution-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement

 

You will also require:

  • A tertiary qualification in Nursing

  • Current registration as a Division 1 Registered Nurse with AHPRA

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
