Due to an internal promotion we have an exciting opportunity at HenderCare for a seasoned Finance Officer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in coordinating accurate and timely completion of our daily bank reconciliations and contributing to ongoing process improvements and compliance with internal financial controls.

About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, The Finance Officer this role supports effective cash flow management and ensures the integrity of financial data.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Managing bank reconciliations across HenderCare and HenderCare Foundation accounts
  • Ensure timely and accurate receipting of all incoming funds.
  • Review and approve Accounts Payable invoices, ensuring appropriate coding, substantiation, and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Approve Accounts Payable payment runs, verifying availability of funds and adherence to data quality standards.
  • Manage cash floats on a fortnightly basis.
  • Support the administration and monitoring of purchase cards ensuring quality management processes are followed.

 

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Relevant experience working within a finance department and the ability to work with large data sets,
  • Sound knowledge of administrative procedures and the ability to multi-task is a prerequisite.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to quickly comprehend complex and detailed pricing arrangements.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products including Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Prior experience using an accounting software (MYOB Advanced is preferred)
