Are you passionate about working in the community? Due to HenderCare's continuous growth we now have an opportunity for a Home and Garden Maintenance worker to join our team on a casual basis. This is the perfect role to suit someone looking for flexible casual hours whether you're a trade worker looking to take on some extra hours or looking to return to the workforce.
You will be assisting our clients out in the community in their own homes. There is opportunity to work up to 10-15 hours per fortnight with potential for hours to increase over time.

About the Role
As a Home and Garden Maintenance Worker at HenderCare, you will be a valuable support system for our aged care clients and people with disabilities. You'll take on home and garden maintenance responsibilities that may have become challenging for them while also offering a much-needed sense of community and companionship.
This role operates Monday-Friday, offering flexible hours between 8:00am and 4:00pm with no weekend work required, ensuring the perfect balance between work and life.
Some duties include:
- Minor installations e.g lock boxes.
- Fixing gates
- Cleaning gutters and windows
- Mowing lawns and tidying overgrown gardens
- Checking smoke alarm
- High cleaning (fans, exhausts, vents)
- Changing light bulbs and tap washers
- Heavy duty/industrial cleaning
About You
We are seeking someone with a caring nature and essential qualities such as encouragement, attentiveness, adaptability, excellent communication, and strong time management skills. Approaching people with empathy, you will be someone who is understanding and patient towards the needs of others, and passionate about making a difference in people’s lives.
You will require:
- Driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (P1's and above or international licence)
- Ute or trailer (vehicle big enough to carry equipment)
- Own tools and equipment for the work
- Previous home and garden maintenance experience (professional or personal experience)
