Occupational Therapists are critical to the Allied Health services we support here at HenderCare, and we’re currently seeking experienced Occupational Therapists who specialise in paediatrics to join our team. You will ensure our clients are provided high-quality support services and therapeutic care informed by evidence-based research.
 

Our Allied Health division are a multi-disciplinary team, providing clinical services to clients within paediatrics, aged care, and NDIS supports. The team is engaging, collaborative, and supportive to ensure you’re assisted in reaching your full potential. You’ll work alongside established clinicians who have extensive field experience and supportive management who are dedicated to your development and furthering your clinical skillset.

About the Role

As the Occupational Therapist, you will provide an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on our clients outcomes and the development of a skilled and supported team. In this role you will:

 

  • Independently manage a clinical caseload, including clients with complex needs, while maintaining high standards of clinical practice.
  • Conduct comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments, interventions, and evaluations, providing effective strategies and recommendations to enhance client function, safety, and participation in daily activities.
  • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with families, health professionals, and service providers to ensure holistic care.
  • Assess and prescribe assistive technology and home modifications that support people with disabilities in safely engaging in their daily occupations.
  • Ensure timely response to referrals, maintain accurate records, and meet service delivery targets in line with HenderCare's policies and standards.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, service development projects, and continuous improvement activities to enhance service delivery outcomes.

 

About You

Our ideal candidate will have the following:
 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, including experience working as a mid-senior clinician.
  • AHPRA registered, including membership to OTA (or eligible to register).
  • Demonstrated experience working in paediatrics-focused therapeutic care.
  • Significant experience within the NDIS.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a proven ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Evidence of mentoring, team leading, or supervising staff is advantageous but not essetial.
