With the implementation of our new payroll system here at HenderCare’s we are currently seeking an efficient and skilled Payroll Assistant to join our dynamic team on a casual basis. This role is part of our Payroll Services team, which processes payroll for over 1,000 staff members and ensures accuracy in payroll transactions.
The team is engaging and supportive to ensure you’re able to reach your full potential. You’ll work alongside colleagues with supportive management who are dedicated to your development and success.

About the Role
The Payroll Assistant will support payroll operations across different departments within the organisation. Key responsibilities include:
- Processing payroll transactions, including migrating payroll data, onboarding new hires, and reconciling timesheets.
- Providing administrative support for payroll processes.
- Filing payroll and relevant financial documentation.
- Contributing to process improvements in line with organisational goals.
This role requires the ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
About You
We are looking for people who show a solid commitment to high-quality and detail-oriented work, and who can work autonomously and complete tasks consistent with the expectations of the role.
Key capabilities of this position include:
- Have at least 2 years of experience in a payroll or payroll-aligned role.
- Strong computer literacy skills and the ability to adapt to new platforms.
- Demonstrated experience Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
