The Opportunity

At HenderCare we are passionate about providing exceptional care services to support our service recipients to maintain their independence and improve their well-being. As the demand for HenderCare services has increased in the community, we are looking for dedicated support workers to join our team to provide support to a service recipient with disability in their home in Port Augusta.

 

In this casual role you will work a mixture of day, afternoon and night shifts throughout the week to ensure our clients is provided with 24/7 care.

About the Role

In this casual role, some of the services you'll be providing include:

  • Personal care, like showering and dressing
  • Person transfers
  • Meal preparation
  • Assistance eating
  • Light domestic duties
  • Respite and social support

 

We offer competitive pay rates, paid weekly, and our team of friendly coordinators are available to support you 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all year round.

 

Our Ideal Candidate

Previous experience in providing personal care and domestic services to people with a disability is essential to be successful in this role.
 

You must also hold:

  • Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support, Disability or equivalent
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate HLTAID012 (previously HLTAID003)
  • Current Provide CPR Certificate HLTAID009 (previously HLTAID001)
  • Current Manual Handling Certificate
  • Current National Police Check
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current NDIS Workers Check
  • Full Drivers License and access to your own car
