HenderCare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Advisor to join our team! Working collaboratively within the Quality division, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the quality management system and internal audit services within the organisation. Reporting to the Governance, Risk and Compliance Manager, and working closely with HenderCare staff to provide compliance and support.

About the Role

The Quality Advisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring organisational excellence through the effective management of quality and compliance-related matters. They are responsible for providing advice and support to management, employees, and contractors, the Quality Advisor undertakes industry-specific research to uphold best practices.
 

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Provide advise and support to management, employees and contractors on the effective management of quality and other compliance related matters;
  • Undertake industry specific research to maintain knowledge in quality best practice;
  • Provide support to management to ensure full compliance with all legislative and industry standard requirements;
  • Undertake regular internal performance auditing of management systems and practices in consultation with management;
  • Prepare for and attend external audits and ensure all resulting findings are actioned within set timeframes;
  • Develop policies and procedures required to meet industry and legislative standards and ensure all policies and procedures are reviewed annually; 

 

About You

As the Quality Advisor, you will have demonstrated experience in applying relevant legislation governing the quality of services in the disability and community health sectors. You will also have experience developing policies, procedures, and guidelines and knowledge of risk management standards and practices.

 

You will also bring:

  • Proven experience in a Quality Advisor role is must, preferably within community care, health, or NDIS.
  • Holding a Certified Internal Auditor Certificate will be highly regarded.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, compliance standards across healthcare including the Aged Care and NDIS standards, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively advise and support stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct thorough research and audits.
  • Proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and development of policies and procedures.

 

The successful candidate will also need to hold or be willing to obtain the following clearances:

  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
