About the Role

These positions cover northern Adelaide (Salisbury to Gawler) with some regional work in Whyalla. Fleet cars are available for work-related travel. 

 

As a Senior Speech Pathologist, you won’t just manage a caseload – you’ll shape the future of our Allied Health team by mentoring junior clinicians, driving service improvements, and contributing to research initiatives. You will also be responsible for:

  • Perform comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing assessments for children and adults.
  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans tailored to client needs and goals.
  • Provide early intervention strategies and structured therapy for children with developmental delays or speech disorders.
  • Support adults with acquired communication disorders, such as aphasia or dysarthria, following stroke or neurological conditions.

 

As an Experienced Speech Pathologist, you will provide individualised, evidence-based therapy to children and young people while receiving support from senior clinicians. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing an independent mixed caseload, working with children and adults with varying communication needs.
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and implementing therapy plans.
  • Working collaboratively with families and other professionals to support client goals.
  • Participating in team-based learning and professional development activities.

 

About You

We are looking for innovative and passionate people who thrive in the fast-paced environment of Allied Health. You’ll show a strong commitment to high-quality client care using evidence-based practices.

 

Our ideal candidate will bring:

 

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Speech Pathology services (Experienced Level)
  • A minimum of 3.5 years’ experience in Speech Pathology services (Senior Level)

 

All applicants will require:

 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of a broad variety of disabilities for adults
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology.
  • SPA membership (or eligible to register)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to take initiative and the effective management of competing priorities
  • Strong computer literacy skills and the ability to adapt to new platforms
  • Hold a full driver’s licence
