You'll be supported by dedicated management with over 20 years of industry experience, who will collaborate and empower you make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
About the Role
You will be supporting young people who present with challenging behaviours, recognising that these behaviours are often expressions of underlying needs. This includes working with individuals who have experienced the psychological impacts of trauma
So, what does a Youth Worker do?

Build trusting relationships to provide a secure, nurturing environment for young people via a therapeutic model of care

Support a child/young person's well-being and development
-
Role modeling positive behaviors and encouraging social connection through a range of activities

Assist with daily routines including transporting to appointments, and community activities

Responding to and managing crises (including reporting)

Performing domestic duties to maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised home environment

Essential requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:

Have completed or enrolled to complete a Cert IV in a relevant field

A valid Blue Card

NDIS Worker Screening Check
-
A valid National Police or Crime Check
-
A current driver's license (P2s and above) with a fully registered vehicle

Provide First-Aid and CPR Certificates

Have completed or willing to complete PeakCare's “Hope and Healing” framework certificate
-
Previous experience as a Youth Worker or similar role highly regarded
