HenderCare have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Home and Garden Maintenance worker to join our team to support our Aged Care & Disability Clients out in the community with their home. We currently have services across the Western Suburbs of Melbourne with immediate services in Altonia and Keilor and more services to follow. 

 

About the Role

As a casual Home and Garden Maintenance Worker, you will assist service recipients in keeping their homes safe and habitable by minimising environmental health and safety hazards.

Services include gutter cleaning, window, and fan cleaning, replacing light bulbs, installing batteries, replacing fixed shower heads with handheld systems, installing key safes, installing grab rails in toilet and shower recesses, minor home maintenance, pruning, lawn mowing and weeding.

 

About You

You will also need:

  • Own gardening and maintenance equipment and vehicle
  • A Ute/Trailer to carry the tools.
  • Can travel in and around between client homes throughout the day
  • Willingness to obtain a NDIS Workers Check, National Police Check and a Working With Childrens Check
  • Passion and understanding for providing support to the elderly and people with a disability
