At HenderCare our Therapy Services team provides crucial allied health support to our clients, who in turn, are supported by our engaging and dedicated Allied Health Assistants. We have an exciting opportunity for an Allied Health Assistant to join our team in a full-time position who is looking to develop their career as an Allied Health Assistant.

About the Role

As the Allied Health Assistant, you’ll play a key role in the delivery of quality, efficient, and evidence-based services to our clients of the NDIS, other disability funded arrangements and older persons receiving services through Home Care Packages. 

 

Overall, you can expect to:

 

  • With Allied Health Professionals to assist them in both the preparation of assessments and delivery of therapeutic programs to clients.
  • Meet billable hour KPI’ in line with the rest of the department
  • Coordinate, maintain, and store clinical equipment, resources, and clinical consumables. 
  • Contribute to the development of information packages and clinical and client resources using a number of computer software programs.
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support to the Allied Health team with a range of various office-based tasks.
  • Facilitate self-directed learning to build competency and confidence against the AHA capability framework

 

About You

You’ll have stand-out communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with a diverse audience, both internal and external. Having keen attention to detail and the ability to organise and prioritise your workload will help you succeed in this role. You will harness your problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and initiative to work cohesively with the team, but also, with relative autonomy.

 

You must hold a Certificate lll in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent) or progress towards completion of qualifications is highly desired.

 

Having any of the below will also be advantageous to your application:

 

  • Having a current CPR and Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Experience in the Disability sector and working with people with a disability
