The Opportunity

 

HenderCare is seeking an experienced Personal Care Worker to join our team on a casual basis to support our Aged Care & Disability clients in the community with their homes across Sydney. The ideal candidate will be required to attend multiple clients homes and excel in handling short shifts (1-2 hours per client) around Sydney's inner-west suburbs. 

About the Role

 

As a casual Personal Care Worker, you will aim to maximise the service recipients' independence by addressing their needs and building positive home environments and relationships with families and the community. You will excel in handling multiple 1.5-2 hour shifts, ensuring consistent opportunities to make a meaningful impact on the lives we support.

 

- Personal Care (e.g. bathing, showering, toileting, dressing, medication management, manual handling bed transfers, etc.)
- Community Access (e.g. supporting service recipients in accessing appointments or recreational activities)
- Domestic Assistance (e.g. cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, laundry, making the bed, etc.)

About You

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

- Can work short shifts
- Comfortable driving in and around suburbs above
- Previous NDIS and Aged Care experience
- Strong communication and documentation skills (progress notes, incident reporting, etc.)

 

Mandatory Requirements:

- Reliable smartphone compatible with AlayaCare App for roster access (iOS 15+ or Android 9+)
- Current Australian Driver's Licence, own car, and comprehensive insurance
- Current National Police Check
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working With Children Check (Employee-Type)
- Completed Certificate III/IV in Disability or Aged Care
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) & CPR (HLTAID009) 
- Current Manual Handling (HLTWHS005)
